Jasmine Trias is an American singer and soul musician born on November 3 1986 in Honolulu. Trias achieved professional recognition for performing as the third-place finalist on the third season of the television program American Idol. She achieved professional recognition for winning the Brown Bags to Stardom 2001 and the Road to Fame 2003 talent competitions. Her recording career began with the promotional song "Love Ko 'To" (2004) for the brand McDonald's. Trias achieved professional recognition for the promotional song "Flying Home" (2005) which was sold exclusively in Hawaii. Her discography included the debut studio recording Jasmine Trias (2005) released on the label Universal Records. The recording achieved professional recognition for selling 14,000 copies in the United States and receiving a platinum certification in the Philippines. Trias achieved professional recognition for the song "Excuses" (2005) and the song "Lose Control" (2005) which reached the top 10 on the internet radio station Idol Waves. She achieved professional recognition for performing on headline tours in Manila, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Guam in 2004.
