Júnior & Cézar were a Brazilian sertanejo duo formed by brothers Júnior and Cézar, born in the towns of Liberato Salzano and Constantina in Rio Grande do Sul, who grew up playing at family parties before turning professional around 2008 and eventually relocating to São Paulo. After years on the regional circuit and an independent CD, they recorded their first DVD Duas Vidas e um Sonho (Ao Vivo) in 2018 with producer Eduardo Pepato and director Fernando Trevisan âCatatau,â launching radio singles such as âDas Duas Umaâ and âGolzinho Quadrado.â In 2019 âGolzinho Quadrado (Ao Vivo)â became their national breakthrough, entering the Top 50 most-played songs on Brazilian streaming platforms, reaching the number 12 position and surpassing 17 million combined streams and views, while also topping major Brazilian radio charts and helping them tour outside the country. In 2020 they reinforced this momentum with the live EP Provou, Gostou (Ao Vivo), featuring tracks like âClone,â âDevolve,â âPorta de Lataâ and âFraquinho de Aparência,â and the concert album Júnior e Cézar no Estúdio Showlivre (Ao Vivo), as well as writing songs recorded by acts such as Thaeme & Thiago and Henrique & Diego. A new phase began in 2024 when they partnered with NA HOUSE and Universal Music and recorded the large-scale DVD Simplesmente in São Paulo, releasing the first volume Simplesmente (Ao Vivo / Vol.1) with singles including âAdmite,â âDevolveâ and âButecada,â and continuing in 2025 with the EPs Simplesmente (Ao Vivo / Vol.2) and Vol.3 and the full-length Simplesmente Deluxe (Ao Vivo), which compiled live favorites like âPicuinhaâ featuring Felipe & Rodrigo. In November 2025 they issued the single âCheiro De Culpado (Ao Vivo)â through Universal, and within days the track entered Brazilâs viral streaming charts and social-media trends.
