Jamie Redfern, born on April 9, 1957 in Liverpool, England, is a singer who emigrated to Australia and settled in Melbourne. He made his TV debut in 1964 and joined Young Talent Time in 1971, where he was signed to Festival Records by Johnny Young. His debut single "The Little White Cloud" peaked in the Go-Set National Top 60 and was part of his first album When You Wish Upon a Star (1971). Redfern won Outstanding Newcomer at the TV Week King of Pop Awards for 1971. He toured the US with Liberace in mid-1972 and released his second studio album Sitting on Top of the World, which included the double-A sided single "Rainbow on the River"/"We'll Meet Again" that peaked at number 8. His fourth album, Jamie Redfern's Golden Hits, was released in 1975.
