James Milne Walsh, born 10â¯Juneâ¯1980 in Wigan, Greater Manchester, is a songwriter who began playing piano at twelve and writing songs by fourteen. He joined the band Starsailor and later released Live at the Top of the World in 2010, followed by the album Lullaby in 2012. James Walshâs discography expanded with Acoustic Singer Songwriter (2017), Love & Heartbreak (2019), Small Illusions (2021) and Coming Good (2023), culminating in Itâs All Happening (2026). He has toured with Simple Minds, Mike and the Mechanics, and supported numerous acts, while collaborating with artists such as Suzanne Vega and Greg Hatwell. His work has sold three million albums worldwide, marking him in rock.
