Formed in 2007 in Ciudad Obregón, Sonora, Nunca Jamás began as a rock trio that sought to bring a fresh edge to the Mexican music scene; comprising Omar Sáinz (vocals and guitar), Pedro Verdez (bass and vocals), and César Bernal (drums), they initially embraced a raw, alternative rock style. By 2014, with their single âQuiero Verte,â they fully revealed their defining soundârock agropecuarioâa vibrant fusion of rock, norteño, and banda sinaloense rooted in the trioâs regional heritage. Over the subsequent years, they continued refining this unique blend, embraced in albums like 2016's Fierro por la 300, and gained traction with fan favorites like âVenimos del Desierto,â âDemasiado Mexicano,â and âSeis Tragos.â Their authenticity resonated widely, leading to invitations to open for Cristian Nodal on the Foraji2 U.S. tour in 2023, during which they even performed âVenimos del Desiertoâ live alongside him, thrilling fans across Anaheim, Palm Springs, and Glendale. Into the mid-2020s, theyâve maintained momentum through festival appearancesâlike in Guadalajara in 2025âand releasing albums like Piloncillo y Bacanora (2024) and Me Iré a las Cantinas (2025), which featured contributions from Sergio Arau and Ms. Ambar.
