Biography
Jaime Llano González, born on June 5, 1932, in TitiribÃ, Antioquia, Colombia, was a Colombian composer and musician. His early musical training came from his mother, who taught him to play the tiple and piano. In 1949, Llano González moved to MedellÃn and later shifted his focus to music after working as an instrument demonstrator at J. Glottmann. He learned to play the electric organ autodidactically and found his first professional gig in Bogotá at Bar La Cabaña. Throughout his career, Llano González performed extensively in the Americas and Europe, including concerts with soprano Carmiña Gallo. His compositions include "Si te vuelvo a besar", "Orgullo de arriero", and "Puntillazo". He received numerous awards and designations, including El Hacha de Antioquia, La Estrella de Antioquia, and the Premio Aplauso 1999. Llano González passed away on November 6, 2017, in Bogotá.
