Biography

Singer-songwriter Ingrid Andress was born into a large family, and spent most of her childhood travelling. She first came to attention in NBC's a cappella singing competition 'The Sing Off' in which she performed as part of a group called Pitch Slapped which she joined whilst studying at Berklee College of Music in Boston. She left Berklee with a degree in performance and composition and moved to Nashville where she honed her skills as a songwriter, working with both pop and country artists like Sam Hunt and Alicia Keys. Her songs are rich in storytelling and have an authenticity with roots in country music, although with an eclectic mix of musical influences, she is a versatile writer. Her songwriting hits include DJ Vice's 'Steady1234' and Charli XCX's 'Boys'. In 2019, Andress signed for Warner Nashville/Atlantic Records and was named as one of Country Music Television's 'Listen Up 2019' artists. She released her first solo singles 'The Lady Like' and 'More Hearts Than Mine' early in 2019, and then later in the year released the singles 'Both' and 'We're Not Friends'.
