Biography

If Thousands is an American drone band from Duluth, Minnesota, consisting of Aaron Molina and Christian McShane. Their debut album Candice Recorder was released in 2001. Their unique sound, characterized by electric guitar and the drone of a Hammond M3 organ, gained attention through tours with Low and features on NPR. Notable albums include Lullaby (2003), Yellowstone (2003), which featured Nathan Amundson of Rivulets, and I Have Nothing (2005). The group reformed in 2013 to record the album For, released in 2014, and participated at the fifth annual Drone Not Drones festival in Minneapolis.
