Biography
HTRK is an Australian electronic and experimental rock duo formed in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The group originally started playing in November 2003 as a trio consisting of vocalist Jonnine Standish, guitarist Nigel Yang, and bassist Sean Stewart. Their debut release was the EP Nostalgia (2004), which attracted the attention of Rowland S. Howard. He produced their debut studio album, Marry Me Tonight, which appeared in 2009. Following Stewart's death on March 18, 2010, the project continued as a duo. They signed with Ghostly International and released the studio albums Work (Work, Work) (2011), Psychic 9â5 Club (2014), Venus in Leo (2019), and Rhinestones (2021). The album Venus in Leo included a cover of Missy Elliott's single âHit Em wit da Heeâ. Their album Rhinestones reached number 58 on the Australian charts. The duo also performed at the Primavera Sound festival in 2024.
