Howard Werth, born on March 26, 1947, in Clapton, East London, was an English guitarist, singer, and record producer. His early musical influences included rock 'n' roll stars like Fats Domino and Elvis Presley. In 1967, Howard Werth founded the British art rock band Audience, serving as its frontman until 1972. During this period, Audience released several albums, including Friend's Friend's Friend (1970). The band shared stages with notable acts like Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd. After disbanding Audience in 1972, Werth pursued a solo career, releasing his debut album King Brilliant in 1975. He was briefly considered as a replacement for Jim Morrison in The Doors but ultimately did not join the band. In 1982, he released 6ix of 1ne and ½ a Dozen of the Other. Audience reunited in 2004 and continued to perform, playing in London's 100 Club in March 2013.
