Hassan Jahangir, born on July 1, 1962 in Pakistan, is a Pakistani pop singer. He began his music career with the release of his first single "Imran Khan is a Superman" in 1982. In 1987, he released his internationally famous album Hawa Hawa, which included hit singles such as "Hawa Hawa", "Hato Bacho", and "Shadi Na Karna Yaro". The album sold approximately 15 million copies in India and was acclaimed across South Asia. In 2018, Jahangir performed on Coke Studio Pakistan Season 11. His work has been recognized with notable awards including the Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Star of Excellence) Award by the Government of Pakistan in 2023 and the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi in 2024.
