Biography

Haruka Fukushima born 1989‑10‑02) and Miyuki born 1989‑11‑16) formed the Japanese folk‑rock duo Haruka to Miyuki after meeting in 2008 at Rikkyo University. They debuted on 14 November 2012 with the EP Yogensya ga yoake wo tsugeru, Bokutachi ga, itsumademo damatteiruto omouna under H+M Records, gaining early attention on independent circuits. In 2013, the duo signed with Sony Music Associated Records; the single "Dry Ice" reached Number 19 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100. Their first full album, Shinoa Type, released 6 November 2013, solidified their presence in the J‑rock scene. Subsequent releases-Sekai (2015‑04‑22), LIFE (2015‑09‑30), LOVELESS/ARTLESS (2016‑08‑17), Tameiki no Danmenzu (2017‑06‑28), Ashita wa hareruyo (2021‑08‑25), and BREATHING (2022‑05‑18)-demonstrated a steady output of studio work, while EPs such as Saiai no fuyohin (2020‑06‑24) kept their catalog fresh. Notable performances include a 3,000‑person concert at Hibiya Open‑Air Concert Hall on 3 October 2015, later released as Hitori×3000 LIVE at Hibiya Yagai Ongakudo 20151003. Their 4th full album, BROKEN ECHO CLUB, was released on February 18, 2026.
