Haruka Fukushima born 1989â10â02) and Miyuki born 1989â11â16) formed the Japanese folkârock duo Haruka to Miyuki after meeting in 2008 at Rikkyo University. They debuted on 14â¯Novemberâ¯2012 with the EP Yogensya ga yoake wo tsugeru, Bokutachi ga, itsumademo damatteiruto omouna under H+M Records, gaining early attention on independent circuits. In 2013, the duo signed with Sony Music Associated Records; the single "Dry Ice" reached Numberâ¯19 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100. Their first full album, Shinoa Type, released 6â¯Novemberâ¯2013, solidified their presence in the Jârock scene. Subsequent releases-Sekai (2015â04â22), LIFE (2015â09â30), LOVELESS/ARTLESS (2016â08â17), Tameiki no Danmenzu (2017â06â28), Ashita wa hareruyo (2021â08â25), and BREATHING (2022â05â18)-demonstrated a steady output of studio work, while EPs such as Saiai no fuyohin (2020â06â24) kept their catalog fresh. Notable performances include a 3,000âperson concert at Hibiya OpenâAir Concert Hall on 3â¯Octoberâ¯2015, later released as HitoriÃ3000 LIVE at Hibiya Yagai Ongakudo 20151003. Their 4th full album, BROKEN ECHO CLUB, was released on February 18, 2026.
