Han Woongjae (born September 29, 1970) is a South Korean singer-songwriter, author, and pastor, widely known for his contributions to Contemporary Christian Music (CCM). A graduate of the Methodist Theological University and its seminary, Han began his music career in 1991 as a member of the Immanuel Missionary Band. In 1995, he co-founded the CCM duo Dreaming Freedom with Pastor Jung Jong-won, releasing seven albums and performing extensively across Korea. Since launching his solo career in 2009, Han Woongjae has continued to shape the Korean CCM scene through his heartfelt music and writing. His solo discography includes notable albums such as Daily Comfort (2013), Today, Grace (2019), and Han Woongjae Hymns series, culminating in his most recent release, Han Woongjae Hymns 3 (2025). Beloved for his lyrical sensitivity and spiritual depth, his representative songs include âTo Hayeon,â âWish,â âToward You,â âElegy,â and âBecause Love Is Still Love.â In addition to his musical work, Han is also a dedicated minister. He formerly served as the senior pastor of Hyosil Church and currently ministers as an associate pastor at Juhyanghan Church. His music and ministry reflect a lifelong commitment to faith, comfort, and authentic storytelling.
