Guido Manusardi, born on December 3, 1935, in Chiavenna, Italy, is an Italian jazz pianist and composer. Encouraged by his musically inclined parents, Manusardi began performing classical sonatas and jazz improvisations publicly at fifteen. Between 1960 and 1967, he worked primarily in Sweden before moving to Bucharest for seven years, where he recorded Blues For Vali, the first Romanian free-jazz album with Dan MândrilÄ and Johnny RÄducanu. Manusardi's career includes notable performances at jazz festivals such as Ljubljana and Warsaw (1977) and Montreux (1978). He has collaborated with prominent musicians like Red Mitchell, Isla Eckinger, Ed Thigpen, Eddie Gomez, and Gianni Cazzola. His album The Village Fair (1996) is recognized for integrating Romanian folk music into contemporary jazz. Throughout his career, he has released numerous albums including Free Jazz (1968), Piano Jazz (1969), and Live in Montreux - Piano Performance (1982).
