Biography
The German band Grailknights was founded in Hanover in 2002. It is considered a powerful phenomenon in the field of heroic/power metal with a theatrical stage, carried by a community they call "Battlechoir". The current band members are: Sir Optimus Prime (vocals, guitar, accordion), Sovereign Storm (guitar, vocals), Count Cranium (guitar, vocals), Duncan MacLoud (bass, vocals) and Lord Drumcules (drums, vocals). Their debut album Across the Galaxy was released in 2004, followed by Return to Castle Grailskull (2006) and Alliance (2008). Calling the Choir (2014) was released later, followed by Knightfall (2018) and Muscle Bound for Glory (2022). In October 2025, Grailknights returned with the album Forever.
