Gestalt Girl, a rock band from Taiwan, was formed in January 2016 and has captivated audiences with its unique sound that transcends genres and features lyrics in Japanese. The members are Mikan Hayashi and Crocus Huang. The band is known for its experimental sound that evolves continuously, having shifted from math rock and digital rock influences in its early days to a more ambient, shoegaze style in later works. They gained significant attention for their single "Umarekawattara"(2018) marking their distribution across Taiwan and Japan. In March 2022, they released their second full album Amoeba and followed up with a successful solo concert in April, drawing a crowd of approximately 700 people. Gestalt Girl has also made their mark in both Taiwan and Japan through performances at numerous festivals and events, such as MegaPort Festival and Taiwan Festa in Yoyogi Park. Vocalist Mikan Hayashi has also ventured into solo performances, showcasing her talent at the Circle Music Festival in Fukuoka alongside notable artists. They released their EP Shigoto in 2024.
