Geoff Achison, born on August 5, 1965 in Cowes on Phillip Island, Victoria, Australia, is a singer-songwriter and guitarist known for his work in the blues, soul, funk, blues rock, jazz, and acoustic blues genres. He began his career as the lead guitarist for Dutch Tilders from 1989 to 1996 before transitioning into a solo artist. Achison's first album, Big Machine, was released in 1994 and is featured in the National Library of Australia. In 1995, he won the Albert King Award for the most promising guitarist at the Memphis International Blues Challenge. Following this, he released albums such as Genevieve (1995) under the Geoff Achison Band and Mystery Train (1996) as a solo acoustic artist. He later formed his band 'The Souldiggers'. In 2007, Achison and The Souldiggers won 'Group of the Year' at the Australian Blues Music 'Chain' Awards.
