Geenius is a South Korean girl group formed under the label HOMe, consisting of members Yeyoung, Sion, Mika, Zoe, and Andamiro. Several of the group's members already had established careers in the entertainment industry through their participation in various survival reality shows such as Mix Nine and Girls Planet 999. The group's formation was first announced by Sure Place in December 2023, with subsequent reveals of the members and their debut date through social media. They were initially known as Bebez, but rebranded themselves as Geenius after changing management teams. In a surprise twist of events, it was disclosed just days before their 2024 debut that Geenius would be debuting under HOMe, a subsidiary established by former Blockberry Creative directors. Their journey in the music industry began in earnest with the release of the digital single "Voyage" in early 2024, their official debut. A fresh and energetic K-pop song, "Voyage" was especially noteworthy in that it was written by members of the group, which is unusual for a K-pop debut single. With a dynamic arrangement by ForestIn and Sure Kim, the single garnered a lot of attention and fan interest, and its music video quickly gained traction on video-streaming platforms.
