Biography

Gangkiz was a South Korean girl group formed in 2012 under Core Contents Media and consisted of seven members: Jihyun, Sooeun, Hae-in, Somin, Eunbyul, Esther, and Hyeji. Gangkiz debuted on May 15, 2012, with the release of their first extended play, We Became Gang. Their debut live performance followed on May 18 through KBS Music Bank. The group's debut single "Honey Honey" was accompanied by a seven-part music video described as an "upgraded version" of T-ara's "Roly-Poly" and "Lovey-Dovey". In June 2012, they released a repackaged mini-album titled Mama. By October 2012, the group had been transferred back from GM Contents Media to Core Contents Media. In April 2013, it was revealed that most of the original members had left the group, with only Esther and Hyeji remaining. The group disbanded in 2014.
