Biography
Gábor Csalog, born on May 17, 1960, in Budapest, Hungary, is a pianist and teacher. He enrolled at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music at age 11, studying until 1977 under notable instructors including Klára Máthé and György Kurtág. From 1983 to 1987, Csalog was a student and later an assistant to Sebök at Indiana University. He began his teaching career in 1987 at the Béla Bartók Conservatory in Budapest and started his discography in 1990 with releases such as Humoreske/Poems/Black Mass (1990) and Supremus 1997 (1997). He has also been a professor at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music and an artist with the Budapest Festival Orchestra.
