Florent Albrecht, born October 21, 1975, in Metz, France, is a pianist and conductor. He studied violin and viola at the conservatory in Metz, then piano at the Conservatoire de Strasbourg under Laurent Cabasso. After earning a Ph.D. from La Sorbonne in 2009, he pursued luxury marketing before entering the Haute Ãcole de Musique de Genève at age 40, graduating in 2018. Albrecht has performed at venues including Paris' Philharmonie and Opéra National, and internationally at the Auditorium Nacional de Madrid and Victoria Hall in Geneva. He founded LâEnsemble de LâEncyclopédie in 2020, dedicated to performing music from 1750 to 1830 on period instruments. His debut album, dedicated to the Nocturnes of John Field, was released in October 2021, featuring a previously undiscovered nocturne.
