Fievel Is Glauque is an American-Belgian experimental jazz duo formed in 2018 by pianist Zach Phillips and singer Ma Clément, who met in Brussels. The duo released their debut album Godâs Trashmen Sent to Right the Mess on January 1, 2021, recorded live on cassette tape with various musicians. Their subsequent releases include the EP Aérodynes (March 26, 2022), and the albums Flaming Swords (November 5, 2022) and Rong Weicknes (October 25, 2024). Notable singles include "Go Down Softly / the River" (fall 2022) and "Iâm Scanning Things I Canât See / Dark Dancing" (August 2023). The band collaborated with various musicians and opened for Stereolab in North America. Rong Weicknes received critical acclaim for its complex arrangements and poppy melodies.
