Biography
Fauziah Latiff is a Malaysian pop singer, actress, and TV personality who launched her career in the mid-1980s. She was born as "Siti Fauziah Sheikh Abdul Latiff" in Teluk Intan, Perak, on December 5, 1970. While performing a charity show at Stadium Merdeka in 1987, Fauziah Latiff impressed the staff of Happy Records, who signed the 17 year-old singer later that year and released her debut album, Digamit Memori, in 1988. With a vocal range that spanned nearly three octaves, she became a popular entertainer throughout Malaysia, releasing studio albums at a yearly rate â including 1989's Kau Merubah Segalanya, 1992's Gubahan Rindu Puisi Syahdu, 1993's Epilog Memori Gelita, and 1996's Petikan Syahdu Fauziah Latiff Vol. II â through the end of the twentieth century. Although she continued to release material like Yang Lebih Kau Cinta...Jee and Pesona during the 2000s, she also maintained a successful acting career, appearing in the 2008 reboot of the police crime drama Roda-Roda Kuala Lumpur, the theater production Muzikal Tun Abdul Razak, the comedy Lontong, and numerous other projects. She also joined Paul Moss and Roslan Aziz as a judge on Malaysian Idol, joining the show in 2004 and returning in 2005 for a second season. Fauziah Latiff released music at a slower rate during the 2010s, although albums like 2014's Siri Bintang Pujaan and singles like 2019's "Setia Kukorbankan" maintained her popularity in the public eye.
