The Facts of Life were an American soul and disco ensemble formed by the producer Millie Jackson. The group consisted of the musicians Jean Davis, Keith Williams, and Chuck Carter. Their recording career began with the single "Caught in the Middle" (1977). They achieved professional recognition for the track "Sometimes" (1977) which reached number 3 on the US Black Singles chart and number 31 on the pop charts. Their discography includes the debut studio recording Sometimes (1977) which reached number 146 on the Billboard 200 and number 33 on the Black Albums chart. After signing with the label RCA Records they released the studio recording A Matter of Fact (1978) which reached number 54 on the Black Albums chart. The ensemble became inactive in 1978.
