ZED is a New Zealand rock group formed in Christchurch in 1996 by bassist Ben Campbell, vocalist and guitarist Nathan King, and drummer Adrian Palmer, later joined by guitarist Andy Lynch in 2000. The band first gained national attention with the single âGlorafiliaâ, which entered the New Zealand top ten in 1999. Their debut studio album Silencer was released in 2000 and reached Number 1 on the New Zealand Albums Chart, later achieving triple-platinum certification. This was followed by the studio album This Little Empire, released in New Zealand in 2003, which peaked at number 3on the national albums chart. After disbanding in 2004, ZED later reunited for intermittent live performances, including a reunion show in 2017 and a 2019 national tour celebrating the 20th anniversary of Silencer. In 2023, the band released a live video of âRenegade Fighterâ along with the single âFuture Youâ, which appeared on their third studio album Future Memory, released in August 2024.
