Every Mother's Son was an American sunshine pop band formed in New York City in 1966. The group consisted of brothers Lary and Dennis Larden, Bruce Milner, Schuyler Larson, and Christopher Augustine. Originating from a folk-rock background in Greenwich Village, the nucleus of Every Mother's Son formed when the Larden brothers met Milner at a local nightclub. Their first significant step was signing with producer Wes Farrell, who helped them secure a deal with MGM Records. In late 1966, Every Mother's Son recorded "Come On Down to My Boat", which reached number 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 in July 1967. This success led to appearances on nationally televised programs and a two-part episode of The Man from U.N.C.L.E. titled "The Five Daughters Affair." Their self-titled debut album, released soon after, peaked at number 117 on the Billboard 200. The band's second album, Every Mother's Son's Back, spawned three charting singles: "Put Your Mind at Ease" (number 46), "Pony with the Golden Mane" (number 93), and "No One Knows" (number 96). Despite these achievements, the group disbanded by the end of 1968. Dennis Larden later joined Ricky Nelson's Stone Canyon Band. In 2012, a compilation album titled Come On Down: The Complete MGM Recordings was issued using the original master tapes.
