Biography

Arms and Sleepers, an American ambient/trip hop duo consisting of Max Lewis and Mirza Ramic, was formed in 2006. Both members were previously part of The List Exists, a post-rock band from Brunswick, Maine. Their debut release was the EP Bliss Was It In That Dawn To Be Alive, released on Fake Chapter Records in 2006. This was followed by their self-titled EP and subsequent releases including Lautlos. The duo's first full-length album, Black Paris 86, was released in 2007 to critical acclaim. In 2009, they released the EP The Motorist and their album, Matador, which featured collaborations with Ben Shepard and Catherine Worsham of Uzi and Ari. The band continued to release albums such as Nostalgia for the Absolute, The Organ Hearts, and Swim Team.
