Tijuana singer and songwriter Carlos Joel Zurita Flores records under the name El Randal. His documented solo catalog began in 2024 through the Tijuana-based label Telescopio Records, which released “FIRME CON LOS FIRMES,” “Casino” and “Vencedor.” That same year, he joined Eddy Tovar and Rodri on “Ando Belikon” and continued with the romantic tracks “Cupido” and “Dime Mujer.” He closed 2024 with “Araña,” a regional Mexican breakup song co-written with Joaquín Ruiz and Saúl Alejandro Zurita Flores. El Randal returned in early 2025 with “Nuevo Día” and “Pienso & Pienso.” A significant step in his work as a songwriter followed when he co-wrote “dopamina,” recorded by Peso Pluma and Tito Double P for their 2025 collaborative album DINASTÍA. Following the song’s release, El Randal officially joined Peso Pluma’s Double P Records. His first major collaboration under this new association arrived in February 2026 with “ganga,” performed alongside Peso Pluma and Tito Double P and included on DINASTÍA (DELUXE). He subsequently worked with Rey Quinto on “CHAKA,” released in May. In July, El Randal issued the solo single “MJ” through Double P Records, pairing acoustic guitars, brass and bass with the contemporary corrido style that defined his developing catalog.
