Efecto SR is a Mexican sibling duo from Monterreyâcomprised of Juan Salazar and Emilio Salazarâwho launched their musical journey in 2022 with their debut single âCarita,â introducing a fresh twist on corridos tumbados that quickly gained viral traction across digital platforms. Their innovative approach led them to reinterpret pop hits through their unique lensâsuch as 2023's âRosa Pastelâ (originally by Belanova), which amassed over 1.5 million streams, and 2024's âBrillasâ (by León Larregui), which surpassed 1.4 million streams. Building on that momentum, they released the original singles âALV El Amorâ (2024), exceeding 500,000 streams, and âAl buzónâ (2024), featuring Ismael CM, which gathered over 200,000 streams within weeks of its release. Known for shaping the concept of Los Villancicos Bélicos, Efecto SR expanded their stage presence by performing alongside major acts at concerts and festivals, sharing stages with Tito Doble P, Marca Registrada, Gerardo Ortiz, Luis R Conriquez, and at the Bandidos Festival with artists like Junior H, La Arrolladora Banda el Limón de René Camacho, Alemán, Dan Sánchez, and Jasiel Núñez. In 2025, the duo released the single "Infiltrados," which featured contributions from Miguel Cornejo, Marcos Villalobos, and Victor Valverde.
