Edward Haoran Chan, born on March 10, 1976, in British Hong Kong, is a Cantopop and Mandopop music producer, songwriter, and musician. Influenced by his father's love for Cantonese songs, Chan learned piano, electronic drums, electric bass, and arrangement skills from a young age. He studied at Yaumati Catholic Primary School and Wah Yan College Kowloon before pursuing composition at the Chinese University of Hong Kong under composer Chan Wing-wah. Chan began his career in 1998, arranging music for Hong Kong pop singers. In 2000, he became a contracted composer at Warner Music Hong Kong. Three years later, he opened his own recording studio, Novasonic Production, with Charles Lee. At Warner Music, Chan collaborated with Chet Lam to produce the Travelogue series of albums and served as the music director for "Chet Lam Travelling Live 2004." In 2005, Chan produced Khalil Fong's debut solo album Soulboy, which marked a significant milestone in his career. Over the next seven years, he produced seven albums with Fong, including 15 and the song "It's not easy", which won the CRHK's 2011 Ultimate Song Chart Awards Presentation Supreme Album Award and Supreme Song Award. In 2006, Chan established Edward Music Production. He has worked with numerous singers, including The Wynners, Alan Tam, Anita Mui, and Eason Chan. From 2013, he worked as a consultant for the A&R Department of Sony Music Entertainment Hong Kong Limited.
