Timo Bethke is a cloud rapper from Cologne. After initially being active as a battle rapper, he began releasing songs under his pseudonym Edo Saiya in 2018. At the beginning of his career, he was characterized by an enormous amount of output. In addition to three EPs, he released four albums in the first two years with Azur and Broken Displays Broken Promises (2018) and This Was Home and Distant (2019). None of them made it into the charts. The joint song "Sag Wieso" with Lil Lano was released at the beginning of 2020. The single enters the German charts for the first time. With the two longplayers The Entire History Of You and Lunar (2020), he made it into the German top 5 album charts twice. his seventh album x6 follows in 2021 . The album even reached number 2 in Germany and gave the rapper his first international chart entry with number 52 in Austria. A year later, Edo Saiya achieved his first number 1 success in Germany with Polar. Shortly before that, together with Badchieff, Cro and Majanmit, he reached number 24 in Germany with the single "Ich liebe..." Reached number 24 in Germany and also entered the charts in Austria and Switzerland. The album follow-up Days After climbs to number 2 in Germany in 2023. Edo Saiya achieves the same position with the album Lieder vom Leben in July 2024.
