Biography

Accompanying the greats, Eddie C. Campbell learned the Chicago blues from Muddy Waters himself. Eddie C. Campbell then joined the Chicago Blues All-Stars led by Willie Dixon. He transcribed the art of his masters on King of the Jungle in 1977. The bluesman moved to Europe for a time in 1984, against a backdrop of legal troubles in the United States. He recorded several albums there, including The Baddest Cat on the Block (1985), before returning to the mother country in the early 1990s. Now confined to the veteran blues circuit, Eddi C. Campbell released Tear This World Up in 2009.
