Dyscord, an Australian metalcore band from Perth, was formed in 2002. Their debut extended play, Arming Within, was released in 2006 through independent label Prime Cuts. The following year, they supported international acts such as God Forbid and The Black Dahlia Murder on tour across Australia. In 2008, Dyscord released their debut full-length album, Dakota, produced by Adam Spark at Wing Command Studios. This album received positive critical reviews and led to national tours, including headlining shows and support slots with bands like Whitechapel and Psycroptic. They continued to support major international acts such as Machine Head, Carcass, Arch Enemy, and Parkway Drive. In February 2010, Dyscord released their second album, Tirades, via Stomp Entertainment, which was praised for its unique fusion of metal genres. Following a tour in March 2010, the band disbanded to pursue other projects.
