dubdubee is a South Korean rapper who debuted on March 7, 2016 with the EP Distortion. Formerly active under the name J-Dub, he later adopted the stage name dubdubee as he refined his calm, low-toned rap delivery, which became a defining characteristic of his music. Influenced by rappers such as Roc Marciano and Evidence, his style ranges from hardcore hip hop and drumless production to classic boom bap, while his lyrics are known for being direct and easy to understand rather than heavily metaphorical. He appeared on Show Me the Money 5 before further developing his signature sound. A longtime fan of NBA basketball, dubdubee often incorporates basketball themes into his music, particularly in projects such as Kiss the Rim vol.1 and the track âTim Duncanâ. Alongside his music career, he also works as a programmer, balancing both professions while maintaining artistic independence. His notable releases include Distortion (2016), Smells Like Molten Spirit (2023), Dark Blue Almost Black (2024), VARIATION (2025), and YOKOHAMA (2026).
