Biography
Dive Index is a collaborative musical project originating from Los Angeles, founded by electronic music composer/producer Will Thomas. Before Dive Index, Thomas released minimalist electronic music under the name Plumbline. The project's debut album, Mid/Air, was released in 2007 on Neutral Music, featuring vocal contributions from Natalie Walker, Merz, Cat Martino, and Ian Masters. In 2010, Dive Index released The Surface We Divide, which included vocals from Joseph Arthur, Patrick Cooper, Mark Gardener (from Ride), and Cat Martino. The project returned in 2014 with Lost in the Pressure, featuring vocals from Simone White and Isaiah Gage. Their fifth full-length album, Waving At Airplanes, was released in 2020, co-written and produced by Thomas, with vocals shared between Natalie Walker and Merz.
