Deserted Fear is a German death metal band from Eisenberg in Thuringia, founded in 2007. The band consists of Manuel Glatter (vocals, guitar), Fabian Hildebrandt (guitar) and Simon Mengs (drums). The band is supported live by John Gahlert on bass. Deserted Fear play classic death metal with influences from bands such as Dismember, Asphyx and Obituary. Their style is characterized by catchy hooklines and melodic elements that give traditional death metal a modern touch. The band's discography includes several albums: My Empire (2012), Kingdom of Worms (2014), Dead Shores Rising (2017), Drowned by Humanity (2019) and Doomsday (2022). The latter reached number 8 in the German album charts. On April 25, 2025, Deserted Fear released their sixth studio album Veins of Fire via Testimony Records. The singles "The Truth" and "Blind" were released in advance. The band has played over 250 concerts in Europe and shared the stage with bands such as Obituary, At The Gates and Morbid Angel.
