Daniel Baranowsky, also known as Danny B or by the company name dB Soundworks, was born on April 5, 1984 in Mesa, Arizona. He is an American electronic music composer known for his work in indie films and video games. He began his career by joining the online game remix community OverClocked ReMix in 2001, initially aspiring to become a film composer. Baranowsky's breakthrough came when he composed "Track A" for Adam Saltsman's Gravity Hook, impressing Saltsman and leading to collaborations with Edmund McMillen on soundtracks for games such as Super Meat Boy and The Binding of Isaac. He founded dB Soundworks to promote his music, and has since contributed to notable projects like Crypt of the Necrodancer and the 2016 remake of Amplitude. Baranowsky moved to Vancouver, British Columbia, to work with Brace Yourself Games on soundtracks for their titles. His work has been praised by critics, notably for his contributions to Super Meat Boy.
