Dämmerfarben, a post-black metal band originating from Germany, was founded in 2005 by Nostarion as a solo project under the name Schattenwindes Dämmerfarben. The first demo, Schattenwindes Dämmerfarben, was recorded at NatureSound Studio in 2006. The band's name was shortened to Dämmerfarben after its release and Fergen Grimnir joined as bassist in 2008, Fergen joined as bassist. The song "Oktobersturm" appeared on the compilation Der Wanderer über dem Nebelmeer in 2010. The debut album, Im Abendrot, released via Northern Silence Productions in 2011, featured Christopher von Kerbenok on drums. For their second album, Herbstpfad (2012), the band collaborated with Emma Björling, Magnus Holmström, and Martin Wiese. In late 2015, Austin Lunn became a permanent member as drummer. In 2020, the ban released Des Herbstes Trauerhymnen MMXX under Northern Silence Productions.
