Dajak, born on July 21, 1997 in Melun, is a French songwriter, composer and performer who first emerged on the music scene with reggae, dancehall and dub influences. From the age of seven, he was introduced to the guitar, then discovered sound system at 15, which guided his musical beginnings. In 2015, he released a first EP marked by these sounds, before turning to a more experimental and introspective style, blending rap, ambient, folk and progressive rock. In 2020, he marked a turning point in his career with the Flash EP, where he refined his musical universe by integrating electronic textures and a more atmospheric approach. The following year, his single"HoodieBlack" became a viral success, enabling him to reach a wider audience. Dajak confirms this evolution in 2023 with his debut album Les Larmes du Soleil, an immersive project where he explores deep, melancholic sounds, while retaining a poetic, introspective narrative. An artist in a class of his own on the French rap scene, he continues to push musical boundaries, experimenting with bold arrangements and haunting atmospheres, as evidenced by his subsequent releases, the tracks "Rayons", "Les Tournesols", "Cimetière d'éléphants" and "Les Allumettes", included on his second album Solar Stereo, released in January 2026.
