Biography

Cool Kids of Death is a Polish alternative rock band formed in 2001 in Łódź. The group took their name from a Saint Etienne song and became a voice for the Generation Nothing movement, which criticized social constraints on Polish youth. They released their self-titled debut album on June 24, 2002, followed by the album 2 in 2003. The ensemble achieved further success with the 2006 release 2006 and the 2008 album Afterparty. On October 10, 2011, the group released Plan ewakuacji, which included the single “Plan ewakuacji”. After a period of inactivity starting in 2013, the band returned to the stage in 2021. In 2024, the group released the documentary Dwadzieścia lat później: C.K.O.D. 3 and the Origami EP. Cool Kids of Death remains recognized for their radical lyrics and contribution to the Polish post-punk revival scene.
