Biography

Real name Corine Céline Ntyame, Cameroonian singer-songwriter Coco Argentée was born on August 13, 1982 in Mbandjock, in the central region of the country. After the death of her mother, and while still very young, she grew up with her father, sisters and stepmother. She joined her first choir at the age of just six, and over the years became a member of various groups and sang in cabarets, gaining valuable experience in the process. To complete her studies, she moved to Chad, then to Belgium, where she married and became a nurse's aide. However, she decided to give up her job to devote herself fully to her musical career. Her first album, Nostalgie, was released in 2010. Consisting of eight tracks, it anchors Coco Argentée's universe in the zouk and bikutsi sphere, and enables the singer to unite a wider audience around titles such as "Dans la tanière", "Kamer" and "N'Djamena". This was followed by the albums Trésor in 2014, on which she called on Cameroonian music icon Talla André-Marie, among others, on the track "Bikutskin", then Ouragan in 2018, comprising 11 tracks for which 10 video clips were simultaneously released on social networks. In 2020, she is back in the news with "Martha", a duet with rapper Koppo.
