Film director and producer Claye Edou was born in 1978 in Djoum, Cameroon. Passionate about art from an early age, he created portraits which he exhibited and sang in several groups, while continuing his studies. Before embarking on a career in film, Claye Edou spent ten years as a management controller. Bored, he decided to pursue his dream and set up his own animation studio, Cledley Productions. In 2017, he released his first film, an animated musical, Minga et la cuillère cassée. He provides the lead character's vocals on the soundtrack. This is the first fully Cameroonian animated film, and it has won a number of awards, including Best Animated Feature at the Abidjan Animated Film Festival.
