Kuo Po-yu (born on August 5, 1980), better known as Claire Kuo, is a Taiwanese Mandopop singer and TV personality. After graduating from Shih Hsin University in Graphic Communication and Digital Publishing, Kuo lent her voice to the soundtrack of several TV series before making her official debut in 2007 with I Donât Want to Forget. The albumâs success earned the singer an award in the Best Newcomer of the Year category at the Beijing Pop Music Ceremony and paved the way for The Next Dawn (2008), her sophomore effort. Singing in the Trees saw the light in 2009 and was followed by Your Friend (2010), Another She (2011), and Keep Loving (2012), all of which enjoyed a great deal of success both in her native Taiwan and in Hong Kong. A compilation entitled To the Age of Innocence arrived in 2013, a year that also marked her debut as a TV host on the reality music competition Super Idol. Kuo took a brief hiatus after the release of the LPs Until We Meet (2014) and Loved (2016), and returned three years later with the singles â83721â (2019), âThe Secret Between Usâ (2020), and âI Live Alone,â (2020), which entered the Top 50 in Hong Kong.
