Wolfgang Andreas Ebert, known professionally as Chris Wolff, was born on October 2, 1954, in Chemnitz, Germany. As a teenager, he formed his own band while studying to become a television and radio technician. In 1982, Wolff moved to Nuremberg, where he met producer Roland Häring, marking the beginning of his music career. His first significant success came in 1987 with the single "Palma de Mallorca", which propelled him into the spotlight. Wolff's career flourished throughout the late 1980s and early 1990s, with notable albums including Für Dich (1984), Lieder Wie Rosen(1986), and Rettungslos verliebt (1987). His songs "Am Strand Von Maspalomas" and "Lady Sunshine" both charted in Germany, reaching number 36 and number 54 respectively. Wolff's music frequently appeared on the Top 75 Charts of Germany and the Hitparade of ZDF, with hits like "Alles Paletti" and "Sterne Zu Verschenken". In 2004, his song "Wenn die Sehnsucht brennt" reached number 2 in the Deutsche Schlagerparade. Wolff also composed many of his songs under the pseudonym Erich BleifuÃ, including "Einfach fliegen, einfach frei sein." Throughout his career, Wolff performed extensively across Europe and internationally, including in Spain, Switzerland, Austria, Kenya, Brazil, and Germany.
