Biography

Chip Hanna, born in 1965 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, is an American alternative country singer-songwriter and punk rock drummer. His musical journey began at age 22 as a drummer, playing with U.S. Bombs from 1997 to 2000 and later with One Man Army. In the early 2000s, Hanna released two solo albums, Punk Goes Country and Haggard & Cashed Out. His album The Old Country, released in 2007 and distributed by Rockstar Records, featured collaborations with Gary Kotula on bass, Jayson James on violin, and Jimmy Moore on guitar. From 2004, Hanna performed as Chip Hanna with Busted Heart, released a single, and an album during this period. In Berlin, he formed Chip Hanna & The Berlin Three with Mad Sin musicians Valle, Andy Laaf, and Tex Morton.
