MarÃa Cecilia Toussaint Uhthoff, known professionally as Cecilia Toussaint, is a Mexican singer, actress, and composer. She began her musical career in 1977 with the group La Nopalera. After leaving the group, she formed Rehilete and later joined the rock band Abril, which eventually led to the formation of ArpÃa. With ArpÃa, Toussaint recorded her first rock LP. She began her solo career in 1984, initially performing boleros by José Antonio Méndez before transitioning to rock. Notable songs from her repertoire include "Me Siento Bien Pero Me Siento Mal" and "Prendedor." Her discography features albums such as ArpÃa (1987), En esta ciudad (1988), TÃrame Al Corazón (1990), Sirena De Trapo (1994), Acoso textual (2007), and Faro (2015). In addition to music, Toussaint has pursued an acting career, appearing in numerous films and television series.
