VHOOR, the stage name of Victor Hugo de Oliveira Rodrigues, is a Brazilian DJ and producer from Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais. Raised in the Venda Nova area of the city, he began teaching himself production in his teens after spending time around the bailes near Quadra da Vilarinho, using YouTube tutorials, online forums, and FL Studio to learn how tracks were built. His first releases arrived at the end of the 2010s, including Brazillian Boogie - EP in 2018, which featured "Ginga," and the single "Acima" in 2019. He followed with Baile & Vibes in 2020, then took a bigger step in 2021 through the collaborative album Baile with FBC, which included "Se Tá Solteira," "DelÃrios," and "Não Dá pra Explicar." In 2022 he returned with the solo album Baile & Bass, built around his own take on the connection between Miami bass and Brazilian funk. By 2023 his profile had widened internationally: he released the EP Maré, made his U.S. debut, appeared at Boiler Room x Primavera Sound Barcelona, and began hosting the monthly NTS program Aquecimento w/ VHOOR. In 2024 he released the album Resenha and appeared on "Clareou" with MoBlack, Tato, FBC, and Tuyo. He stayed active in 2025 with Outro Rolê EP, Baile Instrumentals, and the mix project VHOOR, Pangea Sound: Baile Funk & Miami Bass (DJ Mix), and in 2026 he released De Keke!, an album featuring collaborators including Sango, MC GW, MC RD, MC Pbó, MC Beatriz, MC Magrão, idontcare, and MC Vick.
