Biography

Cankan, a German-based Turkish pop duo consisting of Fatih A.B.B. and Ayhan Malik, was formed in 1998. The two musicians met while performing in a dance group called Dance Machine. In 2000, they released their debut album Bomba Gibi. Their breakthrough came in 2005 with the release of the singles "Yar Yar" and "Ibret Olsun". In 2007, they released their third album CanÄ±mÄ± Veririm - CayÄ±r CayÄ±r and signed with German manager Ralph Connery. The duo gained further attention with the release of their first German song "Respekt" (2009). Cankan disbanded in 2010 but reunited in 2016 to release the album ÃlÃ¼msÃ¼z AÅk. Their fifth album, ÅartÄ±mVar, was released in 2023.
