Biography

Cado Belle, a Scottish rock group from Glasgow, formed in October 1974 when singer Maggie Reilly joined Stuart MacKillop's band Joe Cool, which then merged with another group called Up. The band released their only self-titled album Cado Belle in autumn 1976 on Anchor Records. Notable tracks include “All Too Familiar,” and “Rocked to Stony Silence.” In 1977, they followed up with the Cado Belle EP, which featured “It’s Over,” “September,” “Play It Once for Me,” and “Gimme Little Sign.” The band continued performing in 1978 but disbanded the following year. Band member Colin Tully later gained recognition for his work on the soundtrack of the film Gregory’s Girl.
