Boss Shady, also known as Xie Di (è°¢å¸), is a Chinese rapper and music producer born Cai Zhenhong (è¡é鸿) on November 6, 1989, in Chengdu, Sichuan. He began his music career in 2009 during university with the rap group Nanbei, gaining early attention with the track âæ¥å°å¢ç»é.â In 2013, his song âå¨åºâ earned him a Best Original Mandarin Song award at the Chinese Hip-Hop Awards. A major breakthrough came in 2014 when his viral performance of "æ天ä¸ä¸ç" on the show ä¸å½å¥½ææ² led to widespread recognition and the Best Dialect Song award at the third Hip-Hop Awards. In 2015, Boss Shady released his debut solo album 人ï¼ç¤¾ä¼ï¼é± and held his first tour. He followed with numerous singles and albums including è¿å¼ ä¸è¾å¤ªDiaoäº (2017), the Couple Hunnid Mixtape series (2020â2021) and the Couple Hunnid All Star Mixtape series (2025).
